Summer Sewing Classes Are In Session

School is out and our summer sewing classes are about to begin. Looking for something fun and creative for your kids? Tired of looking for interesting things to do online? We can teach them how to sew on a sewing machine and make personalize projects with our selection of fabrics and trimmings! If quilting is more of their thing, then they can still learn basic skills with us and then check out some easy quilt patterns for inspiration so they can create what they want and having fun.

Surely, with internet on your side, things are relatively easier to access and more fun to understand. All you really do need is a fast enough internet connection (you might want to check starlink internet plans for this purpose) and a creative mind to learn something simple yet fun craft – like sewing!

Skiles and Ali are best buds and came to The Fabric Loft to have some fun. They made pillows that look like flowers after carefully choosing the perfect fabric combinations.

Summer Sewing Class Schedule

Each session is one week and runs from Tuesday through Friday.

Classes are available from 10:00 am to 11:30 am or 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

Cost is $100 and it covers everything you need to make 4 fabulous projects

We are also offering Saturday classes and clinics for more advanced sewers.

Beginners class ages 8 – 15

Classes run from Tuesday to Friday

1 week sessions, 1 ½ hours each day from 10:00 – 11:30 or 4:00 – 5:30

Saturday classes are available from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm

Lambertville Girl Scouts Earn Their Sewing Class Badge At The Fabric Loft

Lambertville girl scouts earn their sewing class badge at The Fabric Loft! A small but mighty girl scout troop from Lambertville, New Jersey gathered at our studio with a purpose. Troop leader, Michelle, already knew about Lahaska’s best kept secret, The Fabric Loft Sewing Classes.

Her daughter had been taking classes there for a few months. Classes are once a week for 1 ½ hours.

Following the guidelines for earning a Girl Scout Badge, we came up with the idea that we would repurpose the girls’ worn clothing and create a fabulous new mini skirt. At one of their meetings, the girls brought in old clothing and cut them up into 6 random pieces. The troop then came to The Fabric Loft where we pinned the pieces together, sewed them on the sewing machine and then cut the skirt using a pattern and sewed them together to create a wrap around mini skirt.

All of the girls got a chance to sew on The Fabric Loft sewing machines and make their one of a kind creation. This was a great opportunity for learning to sew, creating a pattern, repurposing something old into something new and having fun, too!
